"Had the pleasure of visiting Blue Sushi Sake Grill, and my spouse and I enjoyed every item we tried. Drinks were a strong start: the House Margarita was solid, and the Sangria Spritz was especially delicious. For appetizers, we had the Crab Rangoon-nothing extraordinary, but still enjoyable. From the sushi bar, we ordered several Happy Hour rolls: Roja, Cabo, Hawaiian, Tidal Wave, and Itchy Salmon. Honestly, I expected them to feel “watered down” since they were part of a happy hour menu, but I was pleasantly surprised. Each one was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I’d happily return many more times."

"TL;DR: Service: unmatched. *Waiter: Patrick* Food: incredible. Let me start by saying this — I don’t eat fish, and I normally dislike sushi… but my wife loves it. We decided to try this place, and honestly, I’m glad we did. The service here is on another level. My wife wanted to pour her own wine, and the server happily let her (you can see it in the picture). I also asked for menu recommendations and got real, honest answers — not just the usual “everything is good” line. We were treated like VIPs without ever needing to be one, and that alone sets this place apart. Now for the food: outstanding. My wife said this is officially our new go-to spot for sushi — and I agree. Even as someone who doesn’t like fish, I ended up loving the Lion King roll. That’s saying something. If you’re searching for great sushi and service that truly stands out, this is the spot. Just go try it."

"Went for the taste of KC restaurant week menu. It was fantastic but do know if something says it's spicy it is spicy. Had some of the best sushi rolls I've ever eaten, their coconut crab soup was good as was the charred edamame. Had the chocolate spring roll for dessert and my friend I was dining with had the torte both with ice cream and both were also phenomenal. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for an excellent sushi place with some good atmosphere. My only gripe is it's not very well lit but ambiance I guess? Overall their sushi rolls are priced at what I would say is fairly average, portions on them are decent. The happy hour menu runs until 630 and has some decent deals on it so it's worth checking out too. Would definitely go back if I'm in the mood for some sushi and a cocktail or two."

"One of the best sushi places in the whole region. They offer an all you can eat option, which is the same high quality as their normal menu. They will charge extra if you don’t finish all you order assuming you go the all you can eat option. The staff are always friendly and service is fast. Their prices for normal menu and all you can eat are spot on especially considering the high quality they serve."

"Always my favorite sushi spot in the Kansas City metro area! There’s easy, free parking and an impressive variety of sushi, from fresh raw options to cooked rolls and even delicious vegan choices. The happy hour menu is fantastic, the cocktails are wonderful, and the service is consistently top notch. The ambience strikes the perfect balance, upscale and stylish, yet relaxed enough that you can just be yourself and have a great time. If you’re deciding what to order, skip the mango crab rangoon and crispy salmon skin roll, as they were average and not worth it compared to the rest of the menu. Definitely try the Crunchy Red Roll and the Jalapeño Popper, our top two favorites!"
